Pfirter is one of the main icons of the electronic scene in Argentina. Juan Pablo Pfirter has developed a very unique and personal style, mainly because of his very particular set, that includes House, Minimal Techno and Techno. Pfirter is nowadays considered one of the argentinian dj’s with the biggest international projection, with releases under his own name or under the duo PlanTec, released on labels as 2020 Vision, Stockholm Ltd, MindTrip Music, Acktivism Recordings, GHRK among others. This records are played and charted by artists like Sven Väth, Par Grindvik, Chris Liebing, Chris Fortier, Christian Smith, Paul Woolford, Xpansul, Joey Beltram, Davide Squillace and Eddie Richards among others. Besides, He’s also member of GrooveSquad, along with dj Juan Pablo Sgalia. Together, they perform on a Back 2 Back format, with 4 Tourntables, 2 Mixers and effects. Their sets are well known for its length. But Juan Pablo’s presence on the Argentinean electronic scene is not recent. He's been working on dance stations in Buenos Aires almost for 2 decades, since the beginning of electronic radio stations (Z 95, X4, Energy FM, Power, Eco FM). He also performs in the biggest festivals in the region: South American Music Conference, Personal Fest, BUE, Winter Music Conference, Bs As Parade. And also in clubs and festivals in Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Spain, USA, Germany.

CLR PODCAST | 017 | BEN KLOCK


Ben Klock creates with his sets an atmosphere, which is grounded in deepness. His styles range from dry, but meaty minimal beats to heart opening rave orgasms. He blends Detroit and Chicagio tracks from the good old days into those of the present worth being played out. In his past he starts to play piano at an early stage, does gigs as a singer and guitarist in a rock band. Generally, he always engages in a lot different genres. In the 90s, gigs at Berlin based clubs like Tresor, WMF and Cookies have firmly placed Ben on the map of the Capital’s nightlife. Since the opening of the legendary Beghain, he also is a steady fixture of this most popular Berlin club. Berghain is a place committed to the tradition of huge, excessive Techno nights. At the same time, it is the breeding ground for a lot of new things.“This is, where I find the freedom I need!“

CLR27 OUT NOW


CLR feiert 10tes Jubiläum und Gründer Chris Liebing meldet sich mit einem wahrlich würdigen Release auf seinem traditionsreichen Label zurück.

Es scheint so als ob die Experimentierphase vorbei sei und Chris zu seinem ganz eigenen Stil gefunden hat. Die Sound-Architektur ist auf das absolut Nötigste reduziert, jede einzelne Frequenz wird bestmöglich genutzt und das Ganze resultiert in einem ausgesprochen kraftvollen, warmen Sound. Die einzelnen Elemente glänzen voller Klarheit und Druck. Kein einziger überflüssiger Sound oder zufälliger Effekt ist hier zu finden. Das Arrangement ist großzügig angelegt und gibt den einzelnen Elementen viel Platz um die Atmosphäre und Spannung langsam aufzubauen. CLR 27 besteht aus zwei Tracks und fünf dazu gehörigen Tools. Der Release steht für die Essenz des zeitgemäßen Techno wie Chris Liebing ihn empfindet – eine ehrliche Herangehensweise jenseits von Trends oder Hypes.

Die Tool-Versionen der Tracks sind ideal zum Loopen und zum Mixen mit anderen Tracks. In diesem Paket können wir Versionen ohne die charakteristischen Sequenzen oder auch Versionen ohne den gesamten Beat finden. Zum Beispiel das ausgesprochen Dj-freundliche “Trippel Tool“ von “Auf und ab“, das einfach nur aus den brillant klingenden Effekt-Sequenzen besteht und sowohl über andere Tracks gelegt werden, als auch allein für einen Break benutzt werden kann. Das Veröffentlichen mehrerer Tool Versionen ist inzwischen zu einem Trademark von CLR geworden und jedes einzelne Tool kann für verschiedenste Gelegenheiten nützlich sein – die Möglichkeiten sind praktisch endlos.

CLR VIDEOCAST | 001 | NETHERLAND TOUR 2009


At the end of February 2009, Chris Liebing played three gigs in small but renowned Techno clubs in Netherland. After the first night at the “Huize Maas” in Groningen, Brian Sanhaji who is currently touring with his new album "Stereotype" joined him for the second show in Amsterdam. The best sound system in town, a packed club and two most flowing CLR artists were the ideal conditions for an unforgettable night at the “Studio 80”. The last gig in the “Doornroosje” in Nijmegen had been sold out weeks before and Chris and Brian truely enjoyed this feast of friends. There is footage of Chris Liebing playing the latest CLR releases and the upcoming CLR26 by Perc. Brian Sanhaji plays a mesmerizing live set and the spectator gets a good insight into the life on the road. We follow Chris to the Rossini Suite in Nijmegen and learn that even experienced djs sometimes have difficulties remembering the name of the club where they are supposed to play. The camera technique during the interviews might appear unorthodox or artistic, but that´s just part of the document… The monthly videocasts are not about perfection but about transmitting a little bit of the day to day life of Chris and the CLR artists. This one in particular is all about throwing a glance on three memorable days on the road in Netherland. Chris Liebing and his team enjoyed the making of this CLR videocast and are looking forward to presenting you the next one next month.

Es ist Anfang März 2009 und Chris Liebing präsentiert euch den ersten CLR Podcast. Es wird jede Woche ein neuer und kostenfreier Download erscheinen.
Jeder Podcast wird ca. eine Stunde lang sein und CLR Artists featuren. Chris Liebing selbst wird regelmäßig einen Podcast präsentieren und zeitweise Interviewgäste, wie diese Woche zum Beispiel Josh Wink zu Gast haben. Der Dezember hat begonnen, und heute beginnt unsere bereits angekündigte Aktion. Jedem Besitzer von Vinyls der Labels CLR, CLRetry, CLAU und Spinclub Recordings werden die entsprechenden digitalen Files kostenlos zugängig gemacht.
Wie schon erwähnt braucht Ihr dafür nur ein Foto von Euch mit der besagten Platte in der Hand zu machen und es uns auf unserer Website www.cl-rec.com zu uploaden. Solltet Ihr mehrere dieser Vinyls besitzen, macht bitte jeweils ein solches Foto pro Platte.
Die Aktion ist zeitlich unbegrenzt und bezieht sich auf alle Vinyls der genannten Labels, egal wann und wo sie in den letzten 10 Jahren gekauft wurden. Auch in Zukunft bekommen alle Vinyl Käufer der Labels CLR und Spinclub Recordings auf die gleiche Art und Weise den entsprechenden digitalen Download umsonst (inklusive digital only Versionen).
